1991 : The retail chain "ĄSTRA", specialized in the sale of home appliance, was established.
1992 : The retail chain "ĄSTRĄ" reached national coverage with 22 points of sale in the country.
1993 : Ficosota was chosen to be the exclusive representative for the products of De'Longhi
Group for BULGARIA.
1994 : Ficosota won the award for the best distributor of the brands of De'Longhi. De'Longhi is
the best sold brand for small home appliances in BULGARIA.
1996 : A line for manufacturing of oil-filled radiators was bought and installed. The activity
focus was shifted from commerce to manufacturing.
1996 : "USTREM" - SMIADOVO, a factory specialized in manufacturing of heating appliances
since 1972 year, was acquired. The brand names TESY and SMEDA were registered.
1997 : The production of electric storage water heaters was launched.
1998 : First sales of heating appliances in Asia were made.
1999 : First participation in the world trade exhibition: DOMOTECHNICA 1999 - Cologne /Germany/
brought huge success.
2000 : Ficosota obtained international Quality Certificate ISO 9001/2000 which covers design,
manufacturing and service of electric appliances.
2001 : Ficosota launched on the market the new D-series oil-filled radiators.
2002 : Ficosota became the exclusive supplier of radiators for METRO-Europe and expanded its
presence in 33 countries on 4 continents.
2003 : The company introduced the most innovative line in the world for glass ceramic coating
of the water tank. Ficosota started manufacturing of gas heaters.
2004 : A production line for fan heaters is launched.
